Aims/Objectives

To develop and keep social contacts among the Alumni of Presidency Schools, alive, active and serve as a forum to promote and foster the relationship between the alumni, present students, the staff and the management of School with the basic objective to exchange ideas, which besides being mutually beneficial, will generally help in achieving excellence and professional competence and contribute to improve the quality of life.
To provide a forum and platform to foster, encourage and build the sense of belonging among the members of the alumni, the present students, the staff and Management of the School with the common goal of all round development.
To establish and encourage healthy academic, social and cultural atmosphere among the members of the Alumni and through that process serve the community in its academic pursuit.
To bring together all talents of the Alumni to help, all round development of the students and alumni of Presidency Schools, to support it in furtherance of its academic and professional aims, objectives and activities.
To render possible voluntary services to the needy members of the society in general and the members of the POSA in particular.
To encourage the study and research in education and also to provide medium for publication of the same.
To co-operate with similar learned societies and associations in organizing and taking part in meetings, conferences, lectures, workshops, symposia, education projects etc., and to represent the alma mater in various spheres.
To secure and administer funds, grants and endowments for the furtherance of study and research in education.
To work for the advancement of education through exchanges, workshops, seminars, meetings, publications etc., and to suitably honor the renowned persons and the members of the faculty of the department who have rendered yeomen services and contribution to the growth of the alma mater.
To enable a forum for sharing of knowledge pertaining to commerce, industry, political, education, Indian culture and such.
Conducting technical update programs, arranging lecturers by eminent persons, circulating periodically newsletters, that is necessary from time to time, to maintain continuous contact and friendship with the present and future Alumni.
To arrange cultural, literacy, sports, and any other events amongst the Alumni and financially support such events.
To institute scholarships, revolving loan funds, prizes/ medals / gifts and honor and award the deserving Alumni.
To bring about contact between the past and present students by holding periodical Alumni day celebrations and any other means as may be decided upon by the Executive committee from time to time.
To institute and award scholarships, stipends , travel grants or otherwise support students and research scholars to encourage them in their endeavors.
To organize programs, which inspire and motivate the young students for their intellectual development.
To undertake training and other related programs to spread information on any subject in School.
To provide information of employment opportunities and support whatever possible. To undertake or to do all other things, which may include similar corresponding support, correlated, incidental, necessary matters which may be found by the Executive Committee from time to time to be conducive for the achievement of all or any of the objectives stated in above.
